The University of Edinburgh is a Scottish university in the United Kingdom and is frequently ranked among the top universities in the world for its programs and research.

For the past number of years, the University of Edinburgh has been working with Kamuzu College of Nursing to transform medical and health education in Malawi through the implementation of an E-learning system. In 2011 the ICT Director from Kamuzu College of Nursing was invited to Edinburgh to collaborate and give a presentation on the expansion of E-Learning at Kamuzu College of Nursing. The purpose of this e-learning project is to support the development of new online teaching resources and to promote an independent learning environment.

In 2016, representatives from the University of Edinburgh and Kamuzu College of Nursing met in Blantyre to attend a symposium on E-learning. The symposium was designed to train members of staff on the new E-learning system developed through the partnership.
