The Commonwealth Secretariat, based in the United Kingdom, is an organizational body for the commonwealth community. The Commonwealth Secretariat is also a position that is influential in the provision of assistance to governments for social and economic development.
The Commonwealth Secretariat, collaborated with Kamuzu College of Nursing between 2006 and 2012 to help fund student exchange, Faculty exchange and the Global AIDS Interfaith Alliance (GAIA) Scholarship, which funds the education of select nursing students.
