The module will empower students to critically analyze gender as it relates to health and other disciplines for practice, research, education and management to influence the planning, application and implementation of gender sensitive programmes and policies at different levels.

2. evaluate selected gender analysis and gender mainstreaming tools
3. examine gender-based inequalities in health
4. discuss rights based approach to sexual and reproductive health
5. examine and interpret evidence from international and national gender and reproductive health data
