University of California

The University of California, is an American university with nine campuses, including one in Berkeley and one in San Francisco. The University is known for its high quality education and research with connections numerous medical centers, national laboratories, and research centres for its students.

The University of California is an integral partner of the Global Aids Interfaith Alliance (GAIA) Nursing scholarship program, which works has a focus on increased training for nursing faculty and students. Kamuzu College of Nursing is one of the recipients of the scholarship. 20 KCN students were selected in 2016 as GAIA Scholars. Research is also a significant focus of the partnership between the universities with members from the University of California and Kamuzu College of Nursing, working together to perform high quality research to be published and shared.
