Kamuzu College of Nursing, a constituent college of the University of Malawi, is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the following vacant post:

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Behavioural and Biological Sciences, the main purpose of the job is to enhance student knowledge and understanding of Psychology with regard to health services related specialization, through teaching, research and publication and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

The following are some of the key responsibilities of the post:

1. Teaching students
2. Planning, administering and processing students assessments
3. Supervising students projects and dissertations and similar works
4. Executing administrative duties assigned by the offices of the Principal, the Dean of Faculty of applied health studies and Head of Department
5. Conducting research, consultancy and publishing in area of specialization.

Education and Qualifications

Applicants must have at least a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Psychology from an accredited institution. Those with Master degree in clinical psychology or related specialisation and with experience in teaching at an institution of higher learning will have an advantage.
